First Holy Communion

As our children reach the age of reason (about 7 years old) we begin preparing them for a deep understanding of the Presence of our Lord in the Eucharist. This preparation will help them open their hearts tot he graces which flow from this sacrament: union with Christ, strength to live virtuous lives, and worthy participation in the Body of Christ.

The Lord addresses an invitation to us, urging us to receive him in the sacrament of the Eucharist: "Truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. CCC 1384

It is not to remain in a golden ciborium that He comes down each day from Heaven, but to find another Heaven, the Heaven of our soul in which He takes delight." St. Therese of Lisieux
